We select the best heavy silk and follow every step of production very closely. Once off the loom, the rough silk is purgedt of all impurities; it is then prepared for printing with a base colour suitable for the chosen pattern. The silk is then steamed and washed to fix the colours in place, in order to obtain the desired look and consistency of the tie.
Crafstmen cut and sew the tie by hand. A light pure wool liner is inserted to improve firmness. This lining runs the length of the soft twill giving stability to the tie itself. The final result is a perfect, full, soft knot that lasts all day long.
